Salerno and its province, with approximately 1 million inhabitants, enjoy an excellent geographical location. Overlooking the sea, the town serves as a bridge between central, northern, and southern Italy.
Salerno is well connected by rail, road, and highway. It is just 54 km from Naples-Capodichino International Airport, which handled approximately 11,000,000 passengers in 2019, with 82,577 movements (takeoffs and landings) to 15 domestic and 91 international destinations, operated by 42 different airlines. Napoli-Capodichino can be reached from all over Europe in about 3–4 hours by plane. Moreover, the brand-new Salerno-Pontecagnano Airport is expected to be fully operational by 2025 — just in time to plan potential direct connections with selected European destinations.
Salerno is the crossroad of two important highways: A1 and A3. Therefore, the EUC 2025 venues in Fisciano and Salerno can be easily reached, even by car, as well as by train, considering that Salerno is served by one of the most efficient high-speed rail networks in Italy. The highway that links Northern and Southern Italy also passes directly through Salerno and Fisciano. Both towns have their own local and provincial bus services, reaching several areas.
Transfers from/to airports: All participating teams will be picked up and accompanied to and from the airport by the official transfer company, Cisalpina. Shuttle service will be available from both Naples-Capodichino International Airport and Salerno-Pontecagnano Airport. At arrivals, teams should look for EUSA Staff members holding a dedicated banner for assistance and guidance. Campus shuttle service: A free internal campus shuttle runs every 30 minutes. It departs from the Bus Terminal near the accreditation area, stops at the residences, reaches the competition courts, and returns to the starting point.
This service ensures a smooth connection between the accommodation facilities, the dining areas, and the sports venues within the campus.
